Blankets

We install blankets of straw, coconut or coir, along with some blankets that are a combination of these products. They are held together with plastic netting and are pinned to the ground approximately every square yard. Seed and Blankets are great for stabilizing slopes.

Blankets are superior to blown straw because it is anchored to the ground and will not be transported down the slope by wind and water. They are also a great product to use in swales. When considering the cost of blankets, consider the cost of rework.
